Solar Rebates

State Feed-In Tariffs

State feed-In tariffs allow households with solar power to sell the excess power they generate back to the grid for a price many times that for which they buy it. The more you generate, the greater the savings!

Each state has its own distinct feed-in tariff. There is industry pressure for the federal government to mandate a nationally consistent feed-in tariff. This would send a very strong message to the whole of Australia that solar power truly is the way forward for reducing your carbon footprint.

STCs & Solar Credits

click to enlarge When your Impulse Solar Power System is installed you will be issued with Small-scale Technology Certificates, otherwise known as STCs, by the Australian Federal Government under the Solar Credits Scheme.

STCs are like a form of electronic currency, you can trade them as shares, or Impulse can buy your STCs at a premium price from you when you purchase one of our Solar Power Systems. This will drastically reduce the total system price!

STCs are calculated based on the approximate number of megawatt hours of electricity your solar power system will create over 15 years. The Solar Credits Scheme offers a 5 times multiplier for the number of STCs you are entitled, and applies to all solar installations for the first 1.5kW of that system.

There is no lengthy approval process and no means test for solar rebates so make the switch with Impulse.
